… IT'S THE PEOPLE WHO SHAPE THIS CITY

Food! Park! Jazz!

blog_rolling_kitchens_after_partyOh yes, the Rolling Kitchens are back for their 7th edition. General idea? Go to the park, pick your mobile restaurant(s) and eat out in the sun!

You can read all about the yearly Rolling Kitchens in our last year’s blog. The participating cooks might have changed, the dishes might differ, and the trees might be taller, but the 2014 edition will have the same feel, the weather promises to be great yet again and the food shall be equally mouth-watering.

Definitely worth going to as well: the after party on Friday May 30th at the North Sea Jazz Club. It’s for free and it’ll be good, good fun. With Kauw (an Amsterdam Funk, Jazz, Rock improv trio) at 23:00 hrs (11pm), Jiggle ‘n Jazz (with Armando Cairo) at midnight and to wrap it up: DJ Robert Kuiper.

Straight from the Mister Kitchen-source (writing ‘sauce’ was tempting indeed) some more:

“A wide range of mobile kitchens will transform this popular urban park into one big outdoor restaurant. Anything from fresh Italian pizza to sophisticated seafood will be cooked up and served in the open air.

Mobile music, cinema, theatre and other rolling entertainment will complete the great atmosphere. Gourmet lovers, food fans and anyone with a healthy appetite are more than welcome to dig in.”

Like last year, it’s during Ascension Day Weekend, so it’ll attract loads of happy Amsterdammers. Here’s some Jiggle ‘n Jazz to get in the mood!
